The Developer Preview version of Windows phone 8.1 is now available for download. Those who are non-developers and wish to get their hands on the early version prior to the public release can also get the update on their Windows Phone 8 running devices.
The process is quite simple. To get the update, users will have to sign up as a developer at the Microsoft App Studio website and then download the Preview for Developer app.
As the update is not optimised, those who have installed the update seem to have come across issues such as decrease in battery performance, warm device and Bluetooth connectivity issue, reports PhoneArena.
