Apple to debut iOS 8, Mac OS X updates at WWDC on 2 June

APPLE HAS ANNOUNCED that its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) will kick off on 2 June, hinting that's when we'll catch our first glimpse of iOS 8.
Apple is promising that this year's WWDC will showcase "what's next for iOS and OS X", suggesting that we'll be seeing the next iterations of the firm's mobile and desktop software at the San Francisco conference.
This likely means that we'll be seeing iOS 8, which looks set to debut on the iPhone 6 later in the year. This, according to speculation, will have a focus on fitness, with Apple set to debut a Healthbook app to challenge Samsung's Galaxy S5. There's also talk that Apple Maps will see a huge revamp in the software update, adding public transport directions and improved location data.
There's been talk that Apple will unveil new Macbooks at the event, but this remains to be confirmed.
