The Windows Phone 8 community has lacked the widespread options and support for unofficial tweaks and hacks seen on Android and iOS, but a developer has posted video of what they claim is a jailbreak that could lay the groundwork for offering that support.
Poandsoul claims to have jailbroken a Nokia Lumia 920. The claim has yet to be verified and he says he will not post the method for breaking the locks around the device until he feels confident that he can minimize piracy, so don't think you can change things right away. Poandsoul also plans to create a Cydia-esque store that could be bundled with the jailbreak and distribute software that is not sanctioned to go into the standard Windows Phone store, so this seems to be a work in progress.
