Hacker @winocm has confirmed that he’ll be releasing a dual-boot tool for iOS, allowing iPhone and iPad owners to switch between iOS 6 and iOS 7 on their iOS device. The news comes after the iOS hacker demoed a triple-boot utility running on a jailbroken iPad 2.
The software was shown off in a YouTube video published last week, and in case you missed it, we’ve embedded the video below. At the time, we explained that @winocm had managed to triple-boot an iPad 2 between iOS 5, iOS 6, and iOS 7, but proposed that the complexity of the software –combined with the fact that @winocm is set to join Apple as an employee later this year – meant the tool likely wouldn’t launch publicly.
